Innovation deep in the heart of Texas
Our Story
I’m Callahan Hefner—the founder of Sunset on Sixth. Raised under the Texan sun in Austin, I am currently navigating my studies as a Finance student at Grand Canyon University. My journey took an unexpected turn when I had to bid farewell to my collegiate athletic career due to medical reasons, leaving me at a crossroads and searching for a new purpose.
During my college marketing class, the seeds of Sunset on Sixth were planted. Faced with the challenge of finding meaning beyond sport, I channeled my energy into creating a brand that not only offers comfort and style but also carries a deeper mission. This brand is more than just a business; it's a commitment to mental health advocacy, especially for young athletes facing challenges similar to my own.
In the spirit of giving back, Sunset on Sixth is proud to pledge 10% of our profits to various mental health organizations focused on supporting our youth, particularly athletes, navigating the delicate intersection of physical and psychological well-being. With my family—my mom, my dad, my older sister, Jillian; and my younger sister, Caitlin—supporting this endeavor, Sunset on Sixth is more than a clothing brand; it's a community dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and fostering a sense of hope for those who need it most. Join us on this journey, and let's make a difference, one sweatshirt at a time.
